Markus Pommer joins Super Nova for Auto GP Championship assault

Markus Pommer will drive for Super Nova from the opening Auto GP round in Marrakech next weekend. The move follows an impressive showing at the recent Official test in Valencia, where he was regularly topping the times. The 23 year old German driver has excelled in every formula he has driven, winning races in ADAC Formula Masters and Formula Two. In 2013, he took a break from single seaters and put in some strong race performances in Porsche Supercup despite the limited preparation to the season. Markus will continue to be supported by his sponsor Live-Strip.com.Markus Pommer“It's a pleasure to drive for Super Nova, a team that has had great success over the years and knows everything there is about the Auto GP car. At the test I felt immediately comfortable in the team and very much enjoyed driving the car - it has good downforce and plenty of power and suited my driving style well. I am looking forward to my first time in Marrakech, a street circuit with fast corners will be a lot of fun and I am feeling confident going into the weekend. I have never been there so will be spending some time on the simulator to get to grips with it”.John Sears“I have been tracking Markus for some time now and following the test in Valencia he showed the potential to fight at the front in Auto GP this year. We are very happy to have found an agreement for him to be part of our team and I am confident that we will achieve excellent results together. We covered an extensive test program over two days, including long runs and pit-stops, so he is well prepared for the season opener in Marrakech”.
