Welsh motor sport aficionados are in for an exciting season ahead after the nation’s leading circuit unveiled its fast-and-furious 2014 calendar – with plenty to keep car, bike and truck fans entertained from lights-out to chequered flag.Classic Motorcycle Road Racing is set to rev proceedings into life over the Easter weekend, with the popular Hottrax Motorsport Championship paying a visit a fortnight later for the third round of its 2014 campaign.Next up is the heavyweight power and thunder of the British Truck Racing Championship – a motor racing spectacle like no other, with a cacophony of 12-litre, 1,000bhp trucks that would see off no less than a Porsche 911 in a 0-100mph duel getting ready to rumble around Pembrey’s spectator-friendly layout. And just to prove that you can never have too much of a good thing, the trucks will return at the beginning of October.Rallycross is one of the incontestable buzzwords in the motor sport world in 2014, and the British Rallycross Championship will stop off at BARC-managed Pembrey at the end of July, rolling the very best aspects of circuit racing and rallying into one neat, bite-sized and irresistibly entertaining package.The Welsh Vintage Extravaganza will host a celebration of the sights, sounds and smells of yesteryear over the August Bank Holiday weekend, whilst the Kidwelly M.C. Targa Rally, Welsh Championship Tarmac Rally, Llanelli Motor Club Road Rally and C.M.C. Christmas Tarmac Rally Stages ensure rallying fans enjoy an autumn bonanza with an event a month from September to December.Other notable fixtures include the British Sprint Championship, Clubmans Rallycross, BARC Race Day (Cars), NG Motorcycle Road Racing, UK Open Drift Championship and C.M.C. Christmas Tarmac Rally Stages.
