Buggy Experience Racing Team will debut its new Ginetta G55 GT4 next weekend, as the Michelin Endurance Series and the Spanish GT Championship start at the Circuito de Navarra. The British racing car, after carrying out several tests in the past few weeks with remarkable success, will be driven by Javier Ibrán and Mathijs Bakker.
Buggy Experience Racing Team will debut its new Ginetta G55 in official competition next weekend, a season when the team plans to participate in up to three championships with the same vehicle: Spanish Endurance Championship, Michelin Endurance Series and Spanish GT championship. It is precisely in the Michelin Endurance Series and the Spanish GT Championship when Spain´s Javier Ibran and Netherlands´ Mathijs Bakker will drive the car for the very first time. This new racing car, given its speed and reliability, will set them as victory contenders.
After several tests taking place in Barcelona and Navarra, Ibrán and Bakker arrive to Los Arcos with plenty of excellent prospects. “We start the season with great enthusiasm. After testing, our feedback is rather good. I think it is a competitive car but it will take time to make the most of it. Set-up shall be crucial to improve gradually each race”, Ibrán explains, stating that “to team up with Mathijs Bakker in Navarra is a real pleasure. He is an outstanding driver, really quick, experienced, and his contribution will be decisive. We are in the process of adaptation and we still don´t know who our rivals are but, after this round, things become much clearer”.
There are two free practice sessions scheduled on Saturday morning, just before the qualifying at 15.40. On Sunday, and after a short war-up, the first race event of the season will get underway at 10.10 and its finish three hours later.
