Kimiya Sato (Euronova Racing) has set the fastest lap of the first Auto GP practice session at Marrakech, on the street circuit that is hosting the 2014 opener. The Japanese racer, who joined the GP2 Series ranks, is back after ending as a runner-up in the 2014 AutoGP season and scored a personal fastest laptime of 1'31"115 to top Zele Racing's Sergio Campana by half a second. Giuseppe Cipriani scored a valuable third place. The Team Principal of Ibiza Racing Team is back behind the wheel of his racecar after being kept away from the tracks for almost one year. As he regained the right confidence with his car immediately, he managed to end up in the top-3.Hungarian racer Tamas Pal Kiss ended up in fourth for Zele Racing in a positive first experience at the Marrakech streetcourse. The top-5 was rounded out by Belgian Sam Dejonghe for Virtuosi UK, who was followed by the Super Nova duo of Markus Pommer and Michela Cerruti. Rounding out the top-10 were Italian Kevin Giovesi for Eurotech, Virtuosi UK's Andrea Roda and Slovakian Richard Gonda. Practice 2 will go underway at 12:30 while qualifying, featuring a ground-braking shootout system, will be on at 16:30. Race 1 will be starting at 12:10 on Saturday, while Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 14:10. Both races will be televised live by Eurosport while al the sessions will be covered a live scoring service.
