Other News...

With Head of Maintenance, Les Rawlings, launching 'valet parking' at the Circuit (...!!); it's time to check out what else has been happening at Castle Combe over the last few weeks!

The start line of the race circuit became an unusual 'launch pad' for Elite Air (UK) Ltd as they took their maiden hot air balloon flight for 2014!

Clive Wiltshire, Operations Director, commented that: "The Circuit made a fabulous venue for our first flight of the year and we hope that we may be welcomed back in the not too distant future for some further flights.."

Watch this space...!

With the first race meeting looming fast, Les and his team took the track to paint the new circuit 'edges' to ensure that drivers adhere to the new track limits regulations put in place by the MSA (Motor Sports Association).

Red and white edges delineate the bends with green paint being applied to the inside to 'tone in' with the grass.

Only a few more acres to go Les if you're planning to paint the whole inner field...!! Note to self to order some more paint...!!!

Ever wondered how the maintenance guys get a teabreak when out on the circuit...? Wonder no more as Mike arrives with a washing up bowl holding mugs and teabags plus a kettle...!!

Prelude to May...

With May soon upon us, it felt prudent to give you some key diary dates for this month too!!The full "public" events calendar can be found on the 2014 Events Poster whilst the full Racing Meeting calendar can be found on the Race Meeting Poster 2014! Please feel free to download and stick to your fridge...!

And finally...!Trade & Advertising Opportunities still available

There is still some availability for Race Meeting and Action Day Trade Pitches and/or General Trackside Advertising at Castle Combe Circuit this year!Telephone Neil Thomas on 01249 782417 to discuss any opportunities that you may be interested in for 2014 and beyond.
