Blancpain Endurance Series and GT3 debut of Scuderia Villorba Corse has been very positive since the very first practice and qualifying sessions of the season at Monza. In the inaugural day of the 2014 championship Francesco Castellacci, Stefano Gai and Andrea Rizzoli have always been among the major contenders showing a highly competitive pace. With a brand new and aggressive livery on their Villorba Ferrari 458, the young trio worked very hard on set-up during practice and clinched a stunning front row (2nd) in the Pro-Am category also setting the third time overall in qualifying. Now the Italian team is ready for the first race of the season which is to be held on Sunday, April 13 at 14.45 (12:45 GMT). Castellacci, Gai and Rizzoli will start the three-hour race to clinch the first points of the season for the Pro-Am Cup standings.
BES race at Monza will be broadcasted (live, deferred and highlights) worldwide on many TV channels and on www.blancpain-gt-series.com (clicking on GT TV).
“We are delighted with this debut - says Amadio, Team Principal -. Looking at our performances we are doing very well. However, we have to pay attention to high temperatures. We are still working on that because this is a crucial issue in endurance racing; above all on a very fast track like Monza.”
