Winner to Receive New 2015 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate model
Skip Barber Racing School and Hyundai Motor America are joining forces to create the ultimate Time Attack Challenge for high performance driving enthusiasts. The winner of this specially-designed autocross competition will receive a new 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate model courtesy of Hyundai Motor America.
"For 39 years, Skip Barber Racing School has celebrated enthusiasts from around the world by bringing them together to share their passions on the track," said Michael Culver, CEO of Skip Barber Racing School, "and we are excited to bring this tradition to high performance enthusiasts in an innovative way! The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is the perfect vehicle for students to showcase their ability with its 348 hp V6, Brembo® brakes and track-tuned suspension. We cannot wait to see the results at the end of the competition."
Developed by Advantage International, the competition is available to students who attend a High Performance Driving School program at Skip Barber Racing Schools at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, CA, Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT and Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA. To participate, competitors will agree to the official rules and regulations and complete a series of timed laps in a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8. Each competitor will submit his or her quickest lap time into the contest.
At the conclusion of the contest period, a panel of qualified judges determined by Skip Barber Racing School and Hyundai will select one finalist who successfully completed the quickest overall lap time from each of the three participating SBRS locations. The three finalists will win an all-expense paid trip to compete in the same format for the Grand Prize at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, CA on November 1, 2014. The participant who successfully completes the quickest lap time at the Final Event will be deemed the Grand Prize winner of the Hyundai Time Attack Challenge and win a new 2015 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate model.
