Movistar to title sponsor MotoGPs Aragon Grand Prix

Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for the MotoGP World Championship, has announced that Spanish telecommunications company Movistar has signed a multi-year agreement to serve as the title sponsor of the Aragón Grand Prix.

Movistar, which also sponsors the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team, will receive an increased trackside advertising presence during the three-day event.

Pau Serracanta, the managing director of commercial at Dorna Sports, commented: “We are delighted to see a brand such as Movistar returning to the MotoGP World Championship. They are also of course the new main sponsors of the factory Yamaha team with two great riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi in the ranks and now they will be the title sponsor of the Aragón Grand Prix, a well established World Championship round.”rTelefónica Spain’s director of communication and customer experience, Dante Cacciatore, added: “Movistar branding has already returned to the MotoGP grid in style this season and the next step for us was to choose the perfect Grand Prix to associate ourselves with, to support a championship which we know so many fans enjoy.”

Movistar TV holds the Spanish broadcast rights to the championship and recently launched a dedicated MotoGP television channel through which to air its coverage.
