Grand-Am Cup Series officials have announced that the first and third place cars in Saturday's Mont-Tremblant 250 have been penalized for fuel capacity infractions.
According to Grand-Am Cup Series technical director Scott Spencer, apost-race fuel capacity check revealed that the race-winning No. 11 PowellMotorsport Cadillac CTS-V driven by Devon Powell and Terry Borcheller andthe No. 58 Rehagen Racing Ford Mustang Cobra SVT driven by David Shep andKenny Wilden, which finished third, exceeded the specified amount of fuel.Both cars and drivers retain their overall finishing positions in the race,but the No. 11 will receive 28th place points and the No. 58 will be given29th place points as a result of the infractions. Both teams and the driverswill also forfeit all prize money.
