VALLELUNGA SHOWDOWN HIGHLIGHTS BATTLE BETWEEN AUDI, CHEVROLET, MERCEDES AND BMW

The two EUROV8SERIES races held at Vallelunga will be remembered by all the series’ fans for the excitement provided, as they witnessed the first win of Francesco Sini’s Chevreolet Camaro, who scored in Race 1, and the sensational battle that involved the Audi Sport Italia-prepared Audi RS5 racers. In the last couple of laps of Race 2, Tomas Kostka prevailed on his two team-mates at the end of a memorable duel.

The round at Vallelunga also started a close-quarter battle among the championship’s car brands in standings. The Chevy of Sini leads the way with 69 points, followed by the two Audis of Kostka (64) and Davide Stancheris. Fourth place is held by the R.R.T. Mercedes C63 AMG Coupé of Eddie Cheever, who edges team-mate Nicola Baldan. The latter cruised to a positive second place at Vallelunga. BMW has also managed to get back in contention with Niccolò Mercatali, who ended up onto the podium on a Team BMW Dinamic BMW M3.
