DRIVER's QUOTE:"Going into the race I knew starting from P19, my objective was to stay out of trouble the first lap. We had a good start going into turn 1, but unfortunatly I couldn't achieve this going to turn 10 the car in front of me break checked me and I had no time to avoid coliding over him. Tomorrow we need to finish the race and collect some good data for the next event."
24 - ROMAN DE BEER
Roman, who during the qualifying obtained the 14th position, started without any problems, but right after the two curves of the first lap made contact with another car. While carrying out his race, always during the first lap, he was rear-ended on turn n. 12 by one of the Koiranen's cars. This second contact cost him his retirement with a lot of damages to his car.
Final Position: RETIREDPosition on Grid: P14Retired: Collision
DRIVER's QUOTE:"After starting the weekend with P2 on Friday we really hoped for it to be different. We struggled in Qualifying to put together a good lap as there were many different experiences!! Unlucky incident in turn 2 put us back of the pack and later in the lap got taken out with big damage to the car. I was hoping for a different debut but thanks to the Team for the hard work."
25 - DENIS NAGULIN
Denis, after a good start from the back, was able to recuperate several positions and maintain the 18th position for the most part of the race. Unfortunately during the last lap due to the unexpected ware of the tires, he began to lose pace and positions closing his first GP3 race in P21.
Final Position: P25Position on Grid: P21
DRIVER's QUOTE:"I think we need to work hard on the tyre consumption! Despite the terrible result, the pace was there. Even in the Qualifying we were loosing all just in the last two corners, drifting a lot the overheated rear tires. Both new sets were burned in the morning and I was forced to struggle all the race. Seems like that the understanding of the tyre behavior and managing it life cycle is the key to success in GP3!"
