Trident GP3 Barcelona Race 2

23 - VICTOR CARBONE

At the start of Race 2, the climate conditions were not at all clear. The track was wet but it wasn't raining so during the race, it was presumed that it would dry. Victor after the formation lap agreed with the Team to maintain the slick tires and this is how he found himself racing with the dry tires with a humid track condition, if not wet and completely new for him. He started off well even if he initially struggled to maintain a constant pace which occurred thereafter. Victor who started from P26 found himself in P17 when he finished the race.

DRIVER'S QUOTE:"Starting from last I just tried to keep out of trouble and had a clean race, and that is what we did. At the beginning the track was really wet and was challenging conditions as everyone started with dry tires on. Mid way through the race the track started to really get dry and everything changed. For next event we really have to put everything together to have a good qualifying, and start in good position".

24 - ROMAN DE BEER

In Race 2 Roman started very well and recuperated several positions reaching up to P19. De Beer as well maintained the slick tires just like all the other drivers. The race pace was always good but, Roman was penalized with a drive through penalty due to a team error who left the track grid with delay at the start of the race which compromised his race.

DRIVER'S QUOTE:"We are unhappy with our result on the weekend. We really had a disaster weekend with a penalty and wrong decisions, that's all part of motorsport. We will work hard to come back and do our best and achieve our goals for next race and Season. really is a weekend to forget but we will come back stronger. thank you to everybody for the support".

25 - DENIS NAGULIN

The Denis' race was surely short and unlucky. At the start of the race, he maintained the slick tires hoping that the track would dry throughout the race. After only 3 laps however, given that the track was very slippery and with his very little experience with slick tires on a wet track with a GP3 car, he spun on turn 3 remaining on the curb and ending his race here. It would have been important to accumulate experiences in view of the next race, but unfortunately it did not go in this way.
