Kwik Fit Pirelli British Rally Championships Brings Forestry  Rally Experience - RSAC Scottish Rally  - Saturday 12 June 2004

The Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship is heading across the border for the RSAC Scottish Rally 2004 (11th-13th June).  Reflecting the commitment to growing the Championship and the appeal of rallying generally, a whole new Rally Experience has been created for spectators.  On Saturday 12th  June, Rally organisers are bringing fans the Forestry Rally Experience, featuring a wide range of exciting exhibits, stands and attractions, close to the action.

Based in Dumfries in the South-West of Scotland, the Scottish Rally brings the teams and spectators to the heart of the challenging Galloway forests. And now rally fans can stop off at the Forestry Rally Experience between stages. As the forest stages are about 35 miles from the Saturday Service Park at Baldoon, the Rally organisers decided that the trade stands should come to the rally fans in the forest  ensuring the action never stops in Scotland this year.

Situated deep in the Galloway Forest Park, at Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre, the Forestry Rally Experience offers merchandise, refreshments and major attractions, including Pirelli, Subaru and Vodka Kick stands.

Mark Taylor, Championship Manager, comments, “Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre is an incredible venue for the Rally Experience. Spectators will have breathtaking views, as well as access to the tea-room for those vital pit stops. The centre will also feature shops and information, plus a host of rally gear on sale, including Subaru Prodrive and Crash.net clothing. And if the rally action isn’t enough, fans will be queuing up to test their skills on the Pirelli simulator.

“The Forestry Rally Experience is a fantastic addition to the RSAC Scottish Rally, one of the most challenging and exciting events in the British Rally Championship, and further endorses the commitment of the Championship and the events to make rallying an exciting experience for all ages.”
