Dorian Rees Scottish Rally Preview

HE IS, HE ISN'T BUT NOW HE IS!

Dorian Rees had planned to have a quiet weekend at home following his retirement on the recent Mutiny National Rally, but some of his supporters had other ideas and had secured a deal for him to contest the third round of the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship. The O2 Get Connected! Team member will now start the Scottish Rally on 11th/12th June 2004.

Rees had decided not to contest the rally,  but after receiving a late night call, the West Wales driver will now head north.

"Fair play, I had no idea of what was being planned and received the call at 11pm on Tuesday night to say the car was hired and would I drive it on the Scottish. I will be so relieved to be there after the week we have had."

The Llanybydder driver will resume his championship campaign in the Production class of the series, which he currently holds a healthy lead along with his Aberystwyth co-driver, Patrick Walsh. The pair will contest the Scottish event in a hired Subaru Impreza WRX and with the last minute decision to compete the pair will not have time to test the car ahead of the rally start.

Rees will not only team up with his O2 Get Connected team mate, Damian Cole, he will also take his well deserved place in the Welsh Team for the Nations Cup.
