"Tony, Dale and I had a great time racing together at the Rolex 24 AtDaytona in February," said Wallace, a 24-year road racing veteran withoverall victories in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the 24 Hours of LeMans, andthe 12 Hours of Sebring. Stewart, the 2002 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup champion and 1996-97 Indy Racing Leaguechampion, will be making his fourth start in Rolex Sports Car Seriescompetition. His previous best Rolex Sports Car Series result of third inthe Daytona Prototype class and fifth overall came in the 2004 Rolex 24 AtDaytona. "The guys who are real racers go racing when they have the opportunity,"Stewart said. "I had the opportunity to run the 24-hour race this year andhad an absolute blast. It was a lot of fun. We also ran the Paul Revere racebefore at Daytona. It's nice to do something different every once in awhile. It's a very laid back setting that's a really fun event. It brings itback to simpler times and simpler days. The cars are very high-tech and verysophisticated. When it comes time to get in the car, everybody is veryserious about what they do. I've got a pretty good racing resume started.Really, the only things that are missing are a Busch Series win and a sportscar win. I've come close in both this year, but I've still got someopportunities left. I plan on making the most of them."
