Race after race Luca Casadei improves his performance with the Clio. In Dijon this weekend, the young driver notched up his best qualifying result and his best result in the general classification of this season: 5th on the starting grid and 8th overall - 2nd in the under 25 category.
All too many impacts during the race cost him positions but Luca Casadei keeps making progress at each race. Much credit goes out to the Rangoni Team who had a lot of faith in Luca’s potential right from the start. The team is now finally seeing the results of their hard work done during the test sessions and in the first few races.
Luca Casadei
“I’m delighted with my performance. At the free practice session, I was fast and set the 6th best time. I’m gaining experience and am starting to understand this car’s secrets. On Saturday, I set my best time ever (5th overall) during the qualifications. I started the race well and inherited a position but contact with Rinaldi made me drop a few positions. The same happened with De Luca who lightly pushed me and made me slip down to eighth place.
I’m starting to go faster at each race but I’m still not sly enough when it comes to hitting my adversaries! Having competed in Formula Renault for two years, I have a different mentality. But this mentality is starting to adapt to this new way of driving. With a little more experience, I’m sure I could fight for the victory.”
