The Spedeworth Stock Cars will be putting the bumper in with venom this Sunday at 1.30pm when the armoured cars contest the Hertfordshire Championship at Bovingdon raceway.
The Stock Cars have really been on from this season, providing plenty of 'old fashioned' high speed racing and full contact whenever they have appeared on track. This back to the roots style of Stock Car action is introducing the sport's visceral appeal to a younger generation of fans as the sport celebrates its 50th year in the UK. With the Herts title up for grabs that action will be non-stop when the green flag falls to commence racing.
The Rookie Bangers will provide more metal bending mayhem as the drivers batter each other's cars to pieces in Round 6 of their ongoing track championship. Big grids of cars, very enthusiastic driving, and amnesia when it comes to the 'light contact' rule result in a day's racing that is guaranteed to send plenty more Rookie Bangers to the great scrap yard in the sky.
The Stock Rods will also be in action for those who prefer their racing to be of the non-contact variety.
To complete a great day's racing the big and brutal V8 Stock Cars will also be in action. The big cars provide some spectacular racing as they thunder around the Herts track with their big American V8s at full throttle.
With yet another four formulas on offer, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, plus the chance to see the Stock Cars going all out for the Hertfordshire Championship. Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) will be the place to be for some serious racing action on June 20th.
