After weekends at Jarama (Spain), Zolder (Belgium) and Magny Cours (France) the World Series by Nissan traves to the Valência Circuit (Spain), on the 19th and 20th of June. Tiago Monteiro tested at the Spanish Circuit two weeks ago setting second fastest lap of the practice session.
The Official Minardi Formula One Test Driver was pleased with the practice session result, since his Dallara Nissan from Carlin Motorsport didn’t experience any sort of problems and he had the opportunity of getting familiarized with a circuit at which he had never raced before.
“The Valência Circuit is very technical and requires an extremely fine tuned car. At some specific areas of the track, you enter the curves very late, which is very demanding and calls for a precise set-up. We did almost 70 laps without facing any sort of car problems, which was the opposite of what occurred at Magny Cours, and that allowed us to develop the Formula set-up.” Referred Tiago Monteiro, which currently occupies the runner-up position in the World Series by Nissan Championship Standings.
“We developed a very positive preparation for this race, the entire Team worked hard to guarantee a good work, which leaves me optimistic. I only hope that the car won’t experience any sort of incidents like at the last stage.” Explained Tiago Monteiro.
With a free practice session Friday, Qualifying Sessions Saturday and Races Sunday, the World Series by Nissan enter the fourth of nine Championship Stages.
