Motorsport Pavilion at Farnborough

The Motorsport Valley Pavilion, organised by the Motorsport Industry Association, will make it’s debut appearance at Farnborough International, marking the first time non-aerospace exhibitors have been awarded a presence at the prestigious air show.

The inclusion of exhibitors from the motorsport and high performance-engineering sector provides an unrivalled opportunity to demonstrate the synergy between the two sectors, engage in technology transfer and move into new markets.

Both aircraft and racing cars embody all elements of high performance engineering and demonstrate innovative engineering solutions in the world’s most extreme environments. Traditionally, the daily flying display at Farnborough International allows aerospace companies to demonstrate their capabilities. This will include special demonstration runs of high performance racing cars on the runway.

Cars demonstrating on the runway will include the MG Sport and Racing World Land Speed Record Car, a Fire Storm Jet Drag Racer, an ASCAR Day of Thunder and the QinetiQ Team Jota Le Mans Endurance Series car..

On display in the Motorsport Valley Pavilion will be a BAR F1 Racecar, a Lola B2K/10 Sports Prototype Racecar, an MG Opower SV Road Car and an MG Sport and Racing ZR Rallycar.

Exhibitors include Applied Cooling Technology, Eltro GB limited, MCT UK, Pi Research, Pure Group, Retrac Composites and Xtrac.

Commenting on this addition to the show, Trevor Sidebottom, Deputy Director General of SBAC said :

‘’The Motorsport Valley Pavilion provides the perfect opportunity for the two sectors to display their associated capabilities and jointly consider the market potential of shared technology.’’
