ROAD AMERICA - Kohler/SCCA Chicago Region June Sprints drivers broke 15 qualifying track records on Saturday and Sunday and nine race records on Sunday. More than 425 competitors from 31 states, the Bahamas and Canadaparticipated in the 49th running of the annual event at the historic race track. Wisconsin Secretary of Tourism Jim Holperin presented the Elkhart Lake Area Chamber of Commerce the 2004 Governor’s Cup Trophy “in recognition of their long-standing efforts on behalf of amateur sports car racing.”
