Freddie In Dominant Form

Freddie Martin-Dye was in superb form at Clay Pigeon Raceway for the 4th round of the S1 British Championship, but was robbed of what seemed a certain win by the weather. Freddie qualified his Formula ICA Maranello/Maxter kart quickest of the field by an amazing 0.3 seconds, putting him on pole for heat one. This he duly won with ease. Heat two was a wet race, after a cloudburst, but Freddie again won this from pole position with ease. This put Freddie on pole position for the Final, and for 12 laps of the 15 lap Final, Freddie dominated the dry race. But then, coming into the 13th lap on slick tyres, he was greeted by a very wet hairpin from a downpour at that side of the circuit. With no marshalls flags to warn him, he slid off the track under braking and into retirement.
