USA Sprints

Southern Thunder Returns to Orange County Raceway!

The USA Sprints return to Orange County Raceway in Bithlo Florida this Saturday Night June 26th.This will be the third appearance of the 2004 Southern Thunder Tour Season at the Orange County oval. The 2004 Winternationals Champion "Tiny" Tim George from Venice will be on hand as well as current point leader Andy "Hammer Down" Kelly. Kelly who is always a top- threat and is coming off his second win back on March 27th will again be driving the Staggs Tree Service, Kelly Trucking Gambler.

Tim and Andy are well known for having what it takes to win Championships and will certainly contend this year for the coveted USA Sprints Southern Thunder Tour Title. USA Sprints has become a All Star Series for Limited Sprints in Florida and is now outreaching to other States that include drivers who have won hundreds of races and dozens of Championships in all forms of motorsports.

David "Skeeter" Kelly who was the 2003 Thundercross Track Champion recently won his first race of 2004 at Hendry County Speedway will again  try his luck at OCS.  The reigning 2003 USA Sprints Champion Shane "WestCoast Flash" Kreidler has relatively been unheard of this year due to family committments.  Kreidler is expected to make his third appearance this year and will certainly make an impact. RC Roper who also won at Hendry County Speedway is hoping to bounce back with a good outing this weekend as well.

Other USA notables that could very easily win their first race of 2004 are Mike "Hollywood" Schroeder, John Cickota, Bruce Durden and Sean "Zippy" Namor.  Hendry County Speedway Winners Bob "Thunderfoot" Schaeffer in his # 22 Budweiser Car from Colorado and Ron "Happy" Armstrong's Pennzoil Sponsored Gambler will certainly have a say as history could prove to their advantage. Schaeffer has been very strong all year and certainly could be in the cat birds seat for the Championship pending a late season problem with Andy and or Tim George.

Andy Kelly will take a close 34 point lead with 831 points into this race over Tim George's 797, Bob Schaeffer with 775 is in 3rd followed by RC Roper with 675 and David Kelly rounding out the top 5 with 659 points.  From all indications there could be another winner in Victory Lane. That would make 7 Winners in 9 Races this year. So be sure to mark this race down on your calender because this is the magic of the USA Sprints Racing at Orange County Raceway this Saturday Night!.
