A team of mechanical engineering students from Warwick University will launch their Formula Student competition-racing car, named "W3," to the public at the Heritage Motor Centre, annual InterFord Show on Sunday 4th July.
Formula Student is organised by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with the valued support of sponsors including Ford Motor Company. As part of the Show programme for visitors the highlight will be the unveiling of the "W3," new single-seater racing car, designed with the intent of winning the 2004 national ImechE Formula Student competition later in July.
The InterFord event will feature over 500 of the country's best-kept Ford cars competing in a concourse competition. Numerous other activities taking place during the day include 4x4 off-road rides, trade stands, go-karts and motor tests. Entrance to the event costs adults £8, concessions £7, children 5-16 years £6, under Fives FREE.
Entrance includes access to the world's largest collection of historic British vehicles, as well as a display of heritage cars from the Ford collection and a new exhibition 'My Favourites', a display of cars selected by famous people such as world rugby champion Jason Robinson, funny man Rowan Atkinson and the voice of motor sport Murray Walker.
If you have a special Ford car you would like to display at the Show, please contact the organiser for advance booking on 01509 889538. The Show opens at 10 a.m. at the Heritage Motor Centre, which is located on the B4100, close to junction 12 of the M40 motorway between Banbury and Warwick.
