Spedeworth will deliver another full day of racing action with the Rookie Rods, Rookie Bangers and Superstox at Bovingdon raceway on Sunday July 11th at 1.30pm.
The budget formula Rookie Rods have been a great success story at Bovingdon, with fans tempted off the terraces and behind the wheel by the formula's ease of construction rules and low cost to build and race. The evenly matched cars always provide plenty of bumper to bumper racing at the Herts circuit and with all the drivers yearning to add the Hertfordshire Championship title and trophy to their collection the scene is set for an epic race.
While the Rookie Rods will be racing flat out without contact the exact opposite is true of the ever-popular Rookie Bangers. The antics of these cars always bring a smile to the fans faces as they barge, spin and generally wipe each other out over the course of the day's racing. It is Round 7 of the Track Championship for the Rookies and the top points scorers will be keen to avoid coming to grief as they desperately try to survive long enough to gain some more vital points in the ongoing championship.
More action is on the cards from the Superstox as they contest their Daytona Series Round 6. With their blend of high-speed racing, coupled with aggressive use of the front bumpers to get through to the front of the pack, the Supers have established themselves as firm crowd pleasers at the Herts circuit.
With three formulas in action, and the chance to see the Rookie Rods Herts Championship settled, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) will provide a value for money action packed day's racing on July 11th.
