Vitantonio Liuzzi won the FIA International Formula 3000 race on July 3 at Magny-Cours. It was his fourth win in five races this season.

Tomas Enge and Patrick Friesacher celebrated on the podium for the first time this year after finishing second and third, respectively. Yannick Schroeder, Robert Doornbos and Esteban Guerrieri rounded out the top six.
