Motorsport Success illustrates New 300V's technical excellence.
June has proved to be a superb month for Motul's New Double Ester 300V. Time and again it has proved its worth as Motul lubricated machines have powered to World Championship Success across the total spectrum of top level motorsport.
In Rallying, World Champion Petter Solberg dominated the Rally of Greece - coming home to a comfortable victory in his Motul-supported factory Subaru WRC in a rally notorious for being a car breaker. He followed this second victory of the year up with another podium finish in the recently concluded Turkish Rally as he seeks back to back World Rally crowns.
In Moto GP, reigning World Champion Valentino Rossi swept to victory in both Catalunya and Holland on the Motul backed works Yamaha. The "Doctor", as the ebullient Rossi is known, overcame main championship rival, Sete Gibernau on the last lap of the thrilling Grand Prix at Assen, this weekend, to head the world championship standings once again.
Motul 300V is the lubricant of choice for most of the leading GT contenders and an excellent weekend for Motul looked to have been rounded off in superb fashion as Karl Wendlinger and Jaime Melo finished first in the latest round of the FIA World GT Championship at the UK's Donington Park circuit in their JMB Ferrari 575 Maranello. A technical infringement in getting the car to parc ferme, however, resulted in the car being penalised 5 minutes, dropping them to sixth. Fellow Motul runners - and current reigning GT Champions - BMS Scuderia Italia with their Ferraris 550 Maranellos currently head both Drivers and Teams championship tables in FIA GT.
With New 300V Motul's scientists have managed to come up with a new lubricant range that offers both increased power output and greater durability. New 300V employs a blend of complex esters and polymer esters - hence the term "Double Ester" - further enhanced with high performing friction modifiers.
This latest variant of Motul 300V is the first "Double Ester" lubricant to be made available for road and competition use in the UK. The fully synthetic range currently consists of six different viscosity lubricants - from the 0W20 "High RPM" at the outright performance end through to 20W60 "Le Mans" which is designed for maximum endurance.
The end result is an extra power output of between 2 and 4% and, far from this performance boost making the engine more fragile, New 300V offers quite the opposite - increased reliability - through greater oil pressure stability, ultra-high temperature resistance, zero % shear loss and greater wear protection.
Motul pioneered the use of Ester oils for motorsport in the 1970s - transferring the technology from the Aerospace industry - and, with this, the company established a reputation for leading edge lubricant technology.
Martyn Pearson, of UK Distributors, Triple P is certain that this gives Motul a real edge for anyone who simply wants the best for their car. "We offer a range of specific lubricants that have products perfectly matched to suit every high performance road or competition car need. 300V's race-bred World Championship pedigree is an assurance that it is up to the test for anything that performance drivers are likely to be able to put their car engines through and, on top of that it is very competitively priced."
New 300V is now available throughout the UK complementing Motul's comprehensive range of lubricant products - which run from Motor Oils, through to brake and transmission lubricants for road and competition use.
