Arabian journey for Isaac Tutumlu in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

The Spanish driver of Kurdish heritage and Barzani Racing Team will take part in the two most important endurance races held in the area: the Gulf 12 hours in Abu Dhabi and the 24 hours of Dubai. Tutumlu will drive a Ferrari 458 GT3 entered by Kessel Racing and teaming up with Marco Frezza, with long experience as a Ferrari driver, and Russia´s Vadim GitlinIsaac Tutumlu and Barzani Racing Team continue their racing activities, and as the European championships are in the midst of winter, their new targets are on Arab soil. The driver, born in Barcelona and representing Kurdistan in motorsport, finalizes preparations for the two most important endurance events in the Middle East: the Gulf 12 hours, on 13 December, and the 24 hours of Dubai, on 9-10 January. Tutumlu will drive a Kessel Racing Ferrari 458 GT3 in both races, as the Swiss outfit is one of the best teams in the world with Maranello-built cars. Tutumlu will share the Ferrari with Marco Frezza, an Italian who won the International GT Open and has taken part in races such as the 24 hours of Daytona, and Russia´s Vadim Gitlin, a regular participant in the Ferrari Challenge.“The aim of my recent stay in Kurdistan was twofold, because I was monitoring our humanitarian work in the area, but I also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of Kurdish companies, which may be interested in sponsoring the Barzani Racing Team. To be perfectly honest, the reception was overwhelming. I am the first sportsman officially representing Kurdistan and they want to follow the same line. Our talks have brought a new sponsor, Korek Telecom, and this brand is backing me at this time in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. There may be scope to work with them and other Kurdish companies and participate in an international championship next year. I would like to thank Korek for its support, otherwise I could not have raced”, Tutumlu stresses. The Spaniard of Kurdish descent also comments “it is a real pleasure for me to join Kessel Racing, a very successful racing team, and I would like to praise the efforts of all those involved in this project. I hope our experience in the Gulf 12 hours will be more positive than last year, as we experienced engine issues and it brought a premature end. Sincerely I think it is possible to achieve a good result. Besides, I am looking forward to driving there as I know both tracks pretty well”.
