BRutes’ muster in NSW

UTE enthusiasts will have “pole position” at Eastern Creek circuit near Sydney next weekend for round five of the Poolrite V8 BRutes Series.

Utes from across Sydney and surrounding regions are expected to turn out in big numbers for a ute muster at Eastern Creek on Sunday 18 July, in support of the V8 BRutes’ return to the track for the first time since 2001.

Entrants in the ute muster have been reserved one of Eastern Creek’s best vantage points, trackside and overlooking pit straight as the V8 BRutes race by at up to 200 kmh.

Road utes of all makes, models, styles and condition can enter the muster and trophies will be awarded in four categories – Most Feral, Toughest Ute, Best Chick’s Ute and People’s Choice.

The judges will be V8 BRutes racing drivers and Team Brock’s championship leader Damien “Ice” White says he’s looking forward to seeing if Sydney enthusiasts can match the high standards of displays seen this year at Winton and Sandown circuits.

“Last time we went to Eastern Creek there were some great utes. The racing BRutes have come a long way since 2001 and so has the road ute movement, so I reckon we’re in for a weekend of terrific ute action,” White said.

Space in the V8 BRutes Series Ute Muster trackside compound will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with gates open early on Sunday.

Entry will be through Gate 7 off Ferrers Road, Eastern Creek, and the cost $15 for adults (children under 15 free).

Ute drivers will be given a Ute Muster vehicle pass and directed to the reserved area.

Intending muster entrants are asked to, if possible, to advise the organisers at steve@procar.com.au before next weekend.

The Ute Muster and V8 BRutes Series races will be part of the PROCAR Champ Series meeting, which also will feature the Nations Cup, GT Performance, Production Car and Formula 3 Australian Championships and the Australian Porsche Drivers Challenge.

Cars will practice on Friday and qualify on Saturday, with a total of 14 races planned for Sunday from 9 am.
