Mintex Racing Ahead in NASCAR

Following several recent podium places for cars fitted with Mintex 'F-Series' friction compounds, Mintex Racing brake pads are rapidly becoming first choice by teams in the NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series.

Matt Kenseth, 2003 NASCAR champion, and his Roush Racing team are a greattestimony to the advantage that can be gained by teams using Mintex F-Series. Kenseth's number 17 car took first place at the O'Reilly300 at the Texas Motor Speedway and he's currently ranked 3rd in the 2004 Nextel Cup.

This level of success, combined with the friction compound's suitability to the high temperatures involved with endurance racing, means thatthe number of converts to Mintex F-Series friction is growing. 23 out of the 43 cars running in last month's Chevy American Revolution 400-laprace were fitted with Mintex, more than any other competitor. F-Series friction is an ideal material for the punishing 3/4 mile long banked oval at Richmond's International Raceway, with average speeds of more than 120mph and many of the top ten finishers raced on F-Series friction.

On the back of this success, Mintex have launched F6 compound, a new addition to the F-Series and a lower-torque alternative to F2, yet with a very similar performance curve providing incredibly stable and predictable braking from high speeds. Many teams who've tried F2 the front and F6 on the rear axle have been immediately impressed and the word seems to be spreading - once tried they don't go back.
