Race Car Demonstration Set to Wow the Crowds at the UK's LargestInternational Air Show
From 19th to 25th July, Farnborough Airport in Hampshire will play hostto the UK's largest International air show and Days of Thunder will bethere. With a worldwide reputation, the 2004 Farnborough Air Show isexpected to attract over 300,000 people next week, including 140,000members of the general public on the two public days at the weekend.
Rockingham will have a presence at this years Farnborough Air Show aspart of the Motorsport Industry Association's (MIA) 'Motorsport Valley'pavilion. Team Fotostop Torquespeed driver Anthony Swan will conductdemonstration runs in a specially liveried Days of Thunder race car downthe main runway on six of the seven open days, including both publicdays, giving the large crowds a taste of the awesome power and sound ofthese V8 machines.
"This is an important international event and we are pleased to be partof will undoubtedly prove to a successful week for the British AerospaceIndustry," said Rockingham CEO Ashley Pover. "There have always beenclose links between the aerospace and motorsport industries and Iwelcome the opportunity to be part of the MIA's initiative in promotingmotorsport to a wider audience."
John Mickel's Xerox backed Ford Taurus will be on static display outsidethe pavilion throughout the show with Rockingham staff on hand to answerquestions about the series and Europe's fastest race circuit.
