Organisers of Wales Rally GB are stepping up spectator facilities for this year’s event, including the introduction of a new Rally Café to give travel-weary fans somewhere to rest in comfort.
“With our new dates we are very hopeful for some good weather for this year’s Wales Rally GB”, confirmed Andrew Coe, Chief Executive, Rally GB Limited. “But we don’t want to take anything for granted, and we want to make sure that spectators have access to the best possible facilities while they are on the event. That’s why we have worked hard to create a number of stages where the spectator facilities are improved, as well as introducing the new Rally Café service.”
Enhanced spectator facilities will be available at several stages on Wales Rally GB this year including:
· The spectacular Walters Arena, where they will be able to have a great view of the cars as they fly over a jump and through a dramatic water splash TWICE· Margam Park, a fantastic mixture of classic South Wales forest and sweeping roads opening up into majestic parkland· The purpose built track in Cardiff Bay for the Cardiff SuperSpecial
In addition, new for 2004 is the opportunity for advance ticket buyers to upgrade to the Rally Cafe hospitality. A ticket or pass can be upgraded from only £45 per head per selected venue, giving access to ‘Club Class’ hospitality where spectators can relax, recharge their batteries, get updates on the results and enjoy light refreshments.
Wales Rally GB is also featuring a number of new, flexible hospitality packages for groups and organisations that want to take clients and colleagues to see one of the most spectacular sporting events in the UK. These include the Club Package which provides rally fans with the chance to entertain in a relaxed but exclusive facility close to the action. This provides a rolling buffet, complimentary soft drinks and tea and coffee and full Rally briefings, timing and scoring. For more exclusive entertainment there is the Championship Package which includes champagne reception, complimentary wine and soft drinks, private tables for 8 or more guests and full Rally briefings, timing and scoring as well as a host of other entertainment throughout the day.
