A special trophy race for four-cylinder Porsches will feature during the Porsche Festival at Brands Hatch on 29/30 August. The Porsche Club GB has added the Porsche 4-Cylinder Trophy Race to the schedule and the race will run over 20 laps of the Brands Indy circuit.The Trophy race will feature four classes, encouraging as wide a range of front-engined 4-cylinder cars as possible.Likely to set the pace are the 944 Turbos and 968CS models, but all cars from the 944 and 924 ranges are expected to compete. Cars from the Michelin Porsche Open, Michelin Porsche Club Championship and BRSCC Porsche 924 Championship will all be eligible.The race represents a rare chance for the 4-cylinder cars to have a race of their own without competition from the 6-cylinder, rear-engined models.
