WSN Takaya Tsubobayashi at Gabord

Japanese driver Takaya Tsubobayashi will team Juan Cruz Alvarez for the rest of the Season in the second  car of  Spanish team Gabord Competición, becoming the second Japanese to enter the World Series by Nissan.

Tsubobayashi successfully tested the Dallara SN01 in  Jarama last week . He was really impressed by the performance of the car as well as with the two-time winning Team.

Takaya Tsubobayashi, (Kanagawa, 05-06- 1971), was the first Japanese driver to win the promotional formula Scolarship Jim Russell in the UK. One year after he finished third in the Formula Vauxhall. Tayaka is an experienced driver having tested F Nippon and raced in GT’s in Japan.

Lack of sponsorship has been the main reason for Takaya leaving the high profile single-seater competitions  “In the current days, there is no promotion  of these kind of competitions in Japan. You can watch the races of the Nippon Series at 2 a.m., hopefully my participation in the WS will rise the profile  of the series in Japan.”
