Luca Casadei got a fairly good result for in Misano during the 5th roundof the Italian Renault Clio Cup championship.  The driver from Forli,Italy is 11th in the overall classification but is 2nd in the under 25category. This position will allow him to fight for the title in thiscategory.

It was going to be a climb up for Luca who finished in 14th placeduring the qualifications. The climb was a little more complicated thanexpected due to an under-steering problem that Casadei encounteredduring the race.

Luca Casadei cut the finish line without having any accidents which havepreviously prevented him from getting a good result.

The experience that Luca is slowly gathering, will help him fight forthe front line positions at the next races.

Luca Casadei:

“To briefly summarize, this race was influenced by my so and soqualifications. I knew that with new tyres on, the first three lapswould have been decisive above all for the heat and for the humidity.

Unfortunately I always found a track full of traffic and when I finallywas able to go fast my tyres had already been used up.

It’s a pity. Starting in the first front positions is essential if youwant to fight for the victory.

I was instead stuck in the middle and didn’t have a chance to reach thefront. I also have to emphasize that during the race I had an under-steering problem that I wasn’t expecting. This prevented me from exitinga corner fast and from overtaking the others. In any case, I finished in2° place in the under 25 category and with this, the battle with Pipoloand Rinaldi is always open.
