FMS Racing announces Regalia as a first driver for Budapest‏ Auto GP

Facu Regalia is the first driver to be announced by FMS Racing for the opening round of the 2015 Auto GP, scheduled for the coming weekend at Budapest. The 23-year-old racer from Buenos Aires reached an agreement with Ivone Pinton and his team, and will soon fly to Budapest where he will join the fellow Auto GP drivers alongside the FIA WTCC event scheduled at the venue. After an early stint in karting, Regalia ran in F.Bmw from 2008 to 2010. He then moved to the European and Italian Formula 3 championships. He made his Auto GP debut in 2012, ending up seventh overall for Campos Racing. In 2013, he was a runner-up in GP3 with Art Grand Prix before climbing up to the GP2 Series with Hilmer Motorsport. The promising South American youngster is now set to continue in his European path to success by being back in control of a 550-horsepower Auto GP car.

Facu Regalia: "I'm delighted to be back to an important series like Auto GP. In 2012, I didn't run a full season but now I will. The goal is to stay at the front the whole time and win the championship. I like the Hungaroring. I already won there in GP3 and GP2. It would be great to kick-off the season with a win".
