Schumacher’s streaks: Michael Schumacher has completed the last 50 Grand Prix races without a mechanical failure. While he has retired from several races because of accidents, the last time a mechanical problem stopped him in a race was when he had engine problems in the 2001 German Grand Prix.

He has won 11 races in 2004, which equals the record for victories in a season that he set in 2002. Schumacher won nine races in 1995, 2000 and 2001, and Nigel Mansell won nine races in 1992.
