(SPEEDWAY 1 – TUESDAY REVIEW)

POOLE have turned to Chris Harris and Charles Wright to bolster their injury-hit side in Wednesday’s Elite League clash with Wolverhampton at Wimborne Road.Harris guests for captain Maciej Janowski (knee) whilst Wright stands in at reserve as Kyle Newman is out with a damaged elbow, as the Pirates look to improve on their home record with just one win from three so far.Promoter Matt Ford said: “Things haven't been too much in our favour of late, with us having to go into action with neither Magic nor Kyle, both of whom have been very solid for us when they've been fit, but hopefully both Bomber and Charlie can do a job in filling their shoes. “What we can't afford to do though is hit the panic button we need to just concentrate in turning things around and there is no better time to do that than against Wolverhampton to avenge Monday's defeat.”Wolves star Jacob Thorssell said: “It’s going to be a tough meeting for us at Poole, it’s never an easy place to go but all the boys will be giving it our best.“We have a great team spirit this year which I think is paying off on the track. After having a good meeting and beating them on Monday we have plenty of confidence and that momentum should make it easier for us heading into the away meeting.”Elsewhere in the top flight, King’s Lynn host Leicester at the Adrian Flux Arena, looking to complete the double over the Lions after an impressive 50-34 win in the East Midlands on Bank Holiday Monday. In the City Gearboxes National League, Birmingham are aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign when they host King’s Lynn at Perry Barr.Another home win would see the Brummies move up to second place in the league table after already securing victories over Rye House and Stoke.Promoter Graham Drury said: “I’ve got plenty of rivalry with King’s Lynn and our meetings at all levels have always been very tasty and I’m sure that will be the same in the National League too.“We can’t afford to be complacent because they’ve got some decent riders and I know James Cockle rates Perry Barr as one of his favourite speedway tracks.“We need all of our riders to be in top form once again but we will be fired up for sure to make it three out of three in the league.”
