For the first time Italian team lines up Giorgio Sernagiotto and Roberto Lacorte on the brand new Ginetta Nissan LMP3 prototype, now ready for the second round of the championship on May 16-17: "We want to open our Road to Le Mans project with the right pace”
Celadrin Villorba Corse is opening its European Le Mans Series season at the 4 Hours of Imola on May 16-17. Italian team will make its debut in the international series with Giorgio Sernagiotto and Roberto Lacorte behind the wheels of the brand new Ginetta Nissan LMP3 for the first time. The crew led by Raimondo Amadio tested the new prototype at Le Castellet last week but the final work on the car and its livery were completed in the last few hours. Now everything is ready for the second ELMS round after the whole team had to miss the first race of the season at Silverstone as they were still waiting for the delivery of their LMP3 from the British car manufacturer. Starting from the home round at Imola, Celadrin Villorba Corse 2015 ELMS entry represents the first step of a racing programme called “Road to Le Mans” which aims to a future participation in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Team principal Raimondo Amadio commented: “We made a very deep work on the car to try to start from Imola in the best possible way. Our drivers have appreciated the new prototype characteristics since the first kilometers at the Paul Ricard circuit. We know that it will be a very demanding weekend and, also, that everything will be new in a very competitive championship like ELMS but we will do our best to open our Road to Le Mans project with the right pace”.
At Imola Saturday 16 May will feature two 90-minute Free practice sessions. Race day is on Sunday 17 May and begins with two 20-minute qualifying sessions. At 14h00 the 4 Hours of Imola will get underway. As well as live coverage on the official ELMS website at www.europeanlemansseries.com on Sunday, the 4 Hours of Imola will be available to view live across Europe on Motors TV from 14h00 CET. TV2 Sport in Denmark and Sports TV in the Ukraine will also be covering the race live, while Autosport in Portugal will show the race live online. In addition to the live broadcasts, a one hour highlights programme will be show in Austria (ORF), Finland (Nelonen), Portugal (RTP2), UK (BT Sport), Australia (Fox Sports), China (Star Sports), Indian Subcontinent (Ten Sports Taj TV), New Zealand (Sky Network), Pan Asia (Fox International Channels) and USA (Torque).
