MONTE-CARLO SET FOR 2015 GRAND PRIX

The Grand Prix of Monte-Carlo is unique. Not only for the typical panorama of the world-famous Principality. Not for the equally typical lifestyle of a place that took glamorous lifestyles to a whole new level in the last 50 years. For the teams and drivers, it will be the most anticipated race of the season, and the peculiar variables of Monte-Carlo will come into play right from the beginning. Teams and drivers start running on Thursday, two days after the classic charity football match featuring a selection of drivers coming from F1 and GP2.  The first race of the GP2 Series weekend will be held on Friday morning, during the off-day of Formula 1, while the second one will be run on Saturday afternoon, rounding out the weekend's program. Monte-Carlo is the only event featuring a different timetable compared to the usual habits of F.1 and GP2. Tradition is key there, and the race activity has to follow a precise protocol, adding up to the fascinating nature of the Grand Prix. For the occasion, teams and drivers leave their road cars and use scooters to move from one place to the other, and usually have very early starts in the mornings. Once on-track, the feeling is unbelievable. The history of Trident in the Principality is full of satisfactions, wins and podium finishes. The aim is now to continue in the same positive tradition in 2015 with Raffaele Marciello and Rene Binder, who are eager to reverse the tough fortunes of Bahrain and Barcelona. Marciello will be back as a full-time GP2 drivers after completing the first phase of his Formula 1 testing program with Sauber and Ferrari. Unfortunately, the three GP3 Series drivers won't be racing at Monte-Carlo. Coming from a great weekend at Barcelona, Luca Ghiotto, Artur Janosz and Óscar Tunjo can't wait to be back in the driver's seat of their GP3 cars as soon as possible. In the opening round at Montmelò, the Trident team confirmed the great chemistry between the drivers and their respective cars with one pole position and a second place on the record. They will be enjoying an off weekend at Monte-Carlo and will be interested spectators, aiming to get a taste what they will be enjoying in the next step of their careers.
