Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup – Monte Carlo
Two weeks ago, the Ingolstadt-based Christian Engelhart in the #14 MRS-Porsche crossed the start-/finish-line in a great third place at the season opener in Barcelona. In the narrow streets that is the circuit ofMonte Carlo, it is not only challenging for Formula One cars. The Porsche-Race is exciting to watch, too. “It is every racing driver´s dream to race there at least, because here it is more about the driver´s talentrather than the car and material”, says Engelhart ahead of the weekend. “Last year, I finished eighth after a really bad qualifying and I hope that we will be further up with MRS this year. Michael Ammermüller was verystrong in Barcelona and I am counting on him to be one of the hardest competitors in Monaco.”
The Australian Spike Goddard in the #15 MRS-Porsche impressed with an excellent twelfth position at the Carrera Cup race at the Nordschleife last weekend and looks ahead positively to Monaco. “Monaco is one of my favouritetracks and it would be great if I could show my continuing improvements from the past few weeks”, says the 22-year-old.
Blancpain Endurance Series – Silverstone
The #73 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 run by Molitor Racing Systems appeared strongly in recent weeks, and the Ulm-based team is looking to compete right at the front in the second round of the Endurance Series. It is furthermorea race on home turf for the three English drivers with Craig Dolby, Sean Walkinshaw and Martin Plowman. “Silverstone really is the Home of Motorsport for us and we are so excited to race there this weekend”, says Dolby. “TheNissan-Team had a great win in the Pro-Am Class last year and that showed the GT-R is well suited to the track. Our target is a Top-10 finish.”
