AT BOVINGDON
Spedeworth South will pay tribute to one of the sport's great racers with the Mark Boulden Memorial National Banger meeting at Bovingdon Raceway on Sunday August 8th at 1.30pm.
Mark, who was tragically killed in a non-racing accident, was adept behind the wheel of a National Banger as well as a 2.0 Hot Rod and his many racing colleagues and fans are sure to make this a great day by which to remember his name.
All money raised by the event goes to a trust fund set up for Mark's daughter Mallory and there is no doubt that the drivers and Spedeworth South will be making a considerable contribution to that worthy cause on the day.
The National Bangers will be running in the Unlimited Over 1800cc class for Mark's memorial meeting and the drivers will be looking to field some special cars in his memory. In keeping with how Mark liked his racing, the action is sure to be non-stop, fast and furious at the meeting that bears his name.
The big Bangers will be joined on the day by the Ministox and the Rookie Rods, providing a great day's racing for the fans as well as a fitting memorial to one of the Sport's greats.
With free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) plus the chance to pay tribute to a late, great racer Bovingdon looks forward to welcoming a large crowd of racing fans to show their respects as well as enjoy a great day's racing in Mark's memory on August 8th.
