Rounds 7 & 8: Gurston Down, 23-24 May

Alex Summers and Scott Moran became the first share-drive pair to tie for victory in the same car in the 68-year history of the world’s oldest national motorsport championship at Gurston Down.

Later in the day Summers – with five previous wins in his tiny DJ Firehawk – took his first solo win in the Moran Gould. Summers put some clear air between himself and Trevor Willis, who maintained second place but now on equal scores with five-time champion Moran.
