TUNE IN FOR WORLDWIDE TELEVISION COVERAGE OF THE 2004 KWIK-FIT PIRELLI BRITISH RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
The excitement of the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship is coming to an even wider audience as Greenlight TV has signed new contracts with Welsh language channel S4C and the pan-Asian satellite sports channel ESPN. It has also been announced that the Production Cup will now feature on Sky Sports in the UK.
S4C is using footage from the British Rally Championship for a programme focusing on Welsh Rally drivers in the British and World Rally Championships to capitalise on the popularity of the sport in Wales. The adrenaline-fuelled footage will also be used for news pieces not only in adult, but also children's television, to promote the sport to young drivers.
ESPN Star Sports is Asia's definitive and complete sports provider and will bring all the action from the 2004 British Rally Championship to over 200 million homes across the region.
Greenlight TV has also announced that they will be featuring the Production Cup in their Sky Sports programme. With its growth in popularity, each round of the 2004 Production series will be screened, and details of the programme schedule will be published shortly.
Mark Taylor, Championship Manager, comments, “This year’s British Rally Championship has been one of the most exciting ever and we are delighted to be able to bring every twist and turn to audiences world-wide. This is part of our ongoing commitment to widen the international awareness and appeal of the Championship, taking television viewers to the heart of the action. It is fantastic that through our partners at Greenlight TV, we are able deliver some media recognition for the growing Production Cup series.”
