Trans-am ace Tommy Kendall speaks with Formula Renault drivers
Following up on Michele Jourdain’s visit to the Formula Renault drivers meeting at Toronto to discuss the fast way around the streets of Toronto, Trans-Am star and television personality Tommy Kendall visited the Formula Renault drivers meeting at Trois-Rivières last weekend. Kendall, who has three victories to his credit on the 1.5-mile street circuit, gave the field some pointers on the quick way around the track. “This is a tricky track with the variety of surfaces, and unlike in Toronto, there are walls at most of the apexes of this track, so it requires a lot of precision from the driver,” said Kendall. “Braking is super important here as well, and you also have to change your line in some spots to deal with the crowning of the surfaces.”Kendall went on to take third in the Trans-Am race, storming back to the podium after falling to the back of the field on the first lap. Western Union joins Renault at Trois-RivièresWestern Union partnered with the North American Formula Renault Championship to be the presenting sponsor of the Formula Renault Trois-Rivières race weekend.
