Michael Benyahia, youngest driver in French F4 faces new challenge in Hungary‏

The youngest driver in the 2015 French F4 Championship will start to learn about a new track this weekend at the fourth round of the season. With his positive experience on the street circuit of Pau, the Moroccan-American arrives at the Hungaroring with new goals.

After his debut on the Lédenon track, the rain at Le Mans and then the streets of Pau, a new challenge awaits Michael Benyahia in Budapest. A narrow and bumpy circuit, the Hungaroring is very tight with many different combinations of corners. Dust often reduces the grip and further complicates overtaking.

"This is my first season in single seaters and I’m here to learn primarily," says Michael. "Everything is new for me this year, so I set myself step by step targets. The first is to learn the particular configuration of Budapest very quickly and achieve a good qualifying session. Because I felt comfortable at Pau, I should not encounter real difficulties in Hungary on a twisty circuit. The three races on the programme should allow me to progress throughout the event using the advice of my coach, Stéphane Daoudi."

Serious and applied, Michael follows his plan of action to the letter. Work continues to progress aiming to gradually increase the pace while maintaining consistency. This trend is confirmed by his increasing score in the Championship classification.

Organised alongside the prestigious World Series by Renault, the Hungarian F4 event will start on Friday, June 12th with a session of collective testing at 16:50. The single qualifying session will take place on Saturday, June 13tg from 10:45 am and Race 1 will start at 18:05. Two races are on the programme for Sunday, June 14th: Race 2 with its reverse grid for the top10 at 11:00 and Race 3 at 17:05.
