WSN 4th and 5th Monteiro at Lausitz

The World Series by Nissan races were held last weekend at the German Circuit of Lausitz, Tiago Monteiro was the only Portuguese driver present. He started both races on the front row of the starting grid and would eventually finish in fourth and fifth place.

Even though he started upfront, both races represented a hard task for Tiago  “ In the first race in the morning the first gear got stuck as we started, and I lost some positions and the opportunity to fight for the lead”

“At the beginning of the afternoon, in the second race, I made a good start and maintained my position up to the pit-stop,  I noticed that I had some brake pedal problems. Nevertheless, I strived to maintain  third position up to the end, but it was simply impossible to control the car and I ended up crossing the line in fifth ” explained  Monteiro, who was satisfied with his work but knew that he had what it took to finish both races on the podium.

“It wasn’t the best weekend, but when you race you have to know how to handle these situations” concluded Monteiro
