Your favourite time of the week is near at hand. If you're looking for something to do in your well-earned downtime, forget the beach and the barbeque because we have a whole load of juicy motorsport action to serve up!
Following its annual 'away' day at Spa, the British GT circus is set to return home this weekend with round six of the championship at Brands Hatch. In the GT3 category we find the chaps at Ecurie Ecosse seeking revenge after losing out in Belgium, whilst Beechdean AMR's GT4 squad look to keep their Aston Martin ahead of the field once more. Follow the saga with us step-by-step to see what will unfold!
Australia's V8 Supercars will be back with an almighty thunderclap as the season turns towards its seventh outing at the Queensland Raceway. Things are getting ugly Down Under as Red Bull Racing Australia's Craig Lowndes continues to pile pressure on the imperious Mark Winterbottom, so you can be sure the latter and his Pepsi Max Crew will do everything to prevent the charging bulls clinching a fifth successive teams title. Missing this is not an option.
Dirt junkies everywhere, take heart! The FIA World Rally Championship returns this weekend and heads northwards for this season's eighth round at Rally Finland. As per usual, we will be on hand to deliver all the best bits as the world's nuttiest racers saddle up to deliver some more devastating, tyre-bursting speed.
It looks like the young guns contesting the FIA Formula 3 European Championship are going to be fighting for all they're worth as well, with only 7.5 points separating Antonio Giovinazzi and Charles Leclerc at the sharp end of the championship standings. Spielberg is the venue. Motors TV is the channel. The rest is down to you.
Next up we have some off-road antics from Belgium as the FIM Motocross World Championship gives Lommel the pleasure of its company. Sensational MXGP rookie Romain Febvre took an astonishing double race victory at the last round and left the Czech Republic with an 88-point lead. Can anyone stop him this time around? Guess you'll have to watch and find out.
Here at Motors TV, we also like to cater for the self-confessed hooligans amongst you who prefer a glorified go-kart as their daily driver. If you are one of those people, you should check out the next Caterham Racing UK event at Brands Hatch as part of the British GT weekend. You won't find such ballistic pocket rockets in any other categories, so flick on the box and get ready to gawp in amazement.
On top of all that, you can also enjoy action from a few more British GT support series with the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, the Volkswagen Racing Cup and BRDC Formula 4, all of which will be shown live on the High Speed Television Channel.
Crikey, that's an awful lot of stuff worth watching! Looks like the beach is going to be rather empty.
