In Finland, Olli Haapalainen won the Finnish Super 2000 Touring Car Championship with his Audi A4 STCC. After retiring in the first race, the Finn showed his class in the second race at Kemora by keeping his arch rival Pasi Lähteenmäki at bay to clinch the championship with a win.
