Michael Benyahia returns to racing at Magny-Cours French F4

The youngest driver entered in the 2015 French F4 Championship, this weekend at Magny-Cours Michael Benyahia will take the wheel of his number 10 car for the fifth of seven events of the season. Michael took advantage of the long summer break to complete his training and has everything he needs to take another step on the famous Nevers circuit.

Thanks to the training organized this summer by the Auto Sport Academy in Magny-Cours, Michael will start the meeting with a good knowledge of the track. Besides regular physical preparation work, he had the opportunity to take part in several test sessions at the track and prepare for his next competition.

For a young rookie like him, these are particularly good conditions to start a race weekend.

"I am delighted to take the wheel at a track that I have experienced before," said the young driver. "It makes a big difference for me, I already have good references and I'm more confident than ever regarding the benefits of such a competition for my experience in single-seaters. On the other hand, I have enjoyed this two and half month break to take a step back and analyse the data from the first races. I seem to have progressed significantly and I look forward to the race at Magny-Cours."

The summer tests have confirmed Michael’s progress. He began his first season in cars relatively far off the fastest times by over two seconds a lap, a situation quite normal for a young driver straight from karting who had never driven a single-seater. His coach is particularly pleased with his progress, demonstrated recently with even closer involvement. Michael now has better sensitivity at the wheel of his car, allowing him to get into the action more quickly, work on important points and raise his level of performance with more control. It’s almost a different young man who will take on the 4.411 km and 17 turns of the Magny-Cours circuit where his progress will be evaluated definitively under the implacable eye of the stopwatch.

Race 1 Saturday, August 29th from 10:25 and Race 2 at 16:20.  Race 3 will start on Sunday, August 30th at 9:55.
