Spedeworth South will present a night of automotive anarchy at Wimbledon Stadium on August 29th at 6pm when the National Bangers descend on Plough Lane for an evening of severe fender bending action.
Those looking to see crashes usually reserved for the likes of Hollywood action movies will not be disappointed as the cars in action on the night are in the Unlimited over 1800cc class, enabling drivers to field the biggest and heaviest autos they can find. As if that were not enough to guarantee a night of full contact mayhem, those seeking to propel their opponent into the scrap yard in greater haste can even swap the car's original engine for something a little faster.
The mighty National Bangers will be supported by the non-contact Stock Rods. This entry level form of oval racing has been designed to allow people to race without having the to break their bank accounts before a wheel has been turned in anger. Engine size is limited from 1300cc to 1400cc allowing for some very close racing from the evenly matched machines.
The Ministox will round off a great night's action. The armoured Minis, driven by their young (11-16 year old) drivers are the training ground for youngsters keen to take up a career in oval racing. While the drivers may be young, they very often provide as much action packed racing as the senior formulae and are firm crowd favourites at Plough Lane, giving fans the chance to see the stars of tomorrow in action today.
With non stop automotive carnage from the National Bangers, plus high speed action from the Stock Rods and the Ministox Wimbledon Stadium, Britain's finest stock car racing circuit, will provide another great value for money night out on August 29th
